EllieBlue✭✭✭✭Eso disconnects every few minutes for me until I started using VPN. Its been a bit better ever since. Everytime my VPN dc, my ESO goes almost immediately as well. DoTHurts✭✭✭Yes, just got thrown out in the middle of battlegrounds causing a time penalty and all my settings deleted. Happens occasionally, but does seem to be more frequent recently. Don’t know what the story is with my settings though - very painful as all my gear setups disappeared as well from my addons.0 -
seherrons✭✭✭Yep, especially more so since Wolfhunter's release. I'm used to the random game crashes on my PSN but lately I've been seeing more and more instances where I'm playing and all of a sudden I get disconnected and booted from the server for seemingly no reason and sent straight back to the login, and following that it takes around 10 minutes of "Internal server error" messages before I'm allowed back in to the character select. Happened 3 times in one day last week.
It's really frustrating

✭✭I just reformatted my system and now its running very nice.. I think a lot of customers have malware and don't know it.. my ping is now back to 250 my connection is stable and my game runs nicer..
I'm not saying its 100% us but after removing my malware my game runs a lot better...

I had fastest NBN, FTTH . I now run a slow connection as it didnt make any difference.
Cable your desktop to the router (no Wifi).
Maintain your free disk space regularly. Seems like ESO uses big page files or summat.
These two things have helped me enourmously.
Currently moving to an area that doesn't even have copper to the house.
Yes. the 3% really do exist; and yes, within 600kms of Melbourne or Sydney.

Yeah i'm rural here and we can only get ADSL 2+ off net or NBN wireless so i was considering getting NBN wifi but i've heard so many horror stories.. My ADSL is only 20mb.. which to ESO is prolly closer 6mb..Edited by DanteYoda on 13 September 2018 04:070 -

✭When I first started playing the game, I had constant disconnects when entering or exiting a dungeon, delve or even an outlaws refuge requiring me to relog. Whether I could relog or not was also hit and miss.
My solution was to change my ISP and my connection to the game has since become as good as everybody else. Slow, yes, but stable.
I only have access to ADSL2+ as I am too far away to use the VDSL on the copper. There is no other alternative for internet access, not even wireless. (Well, dial-up or satellite I suppose. May even be too far south to use satellite except perhaps INMARSAT.)
As an interim between ISPs I did trial a gaming VPN called battleping. This did actually give me the stability to play the game, albeit adding 100ms to the ping.
So I might advise at least giving a VPN a chance to see if that reduces or fixes your instability. If so, then maybe the problem is the routing of your ISP and it's time to give another ISP a go.
It's worth a try. There are gaming VPN services that offer free trials.
