I am posting this discussion on the Daggerfall Covenant side because you are my people. For King & Covenant! I am also just trying to get away from all the negativity created by a little bit of down time! People complain when they can't find a better way to spend their time, it's a sad state of affairs! ;)

For me I get the most enjoyment from treasure maps. I'm big on world exploration & these crudely drawn maps are a huge source of enjoyment for me. I also love skyshard & chest hunting. The stories are great, don't get me wrong, it's easy to get lost in a quest line, it's just easier for me to get lost hunting for hard to find items in the world. I will regularly be on my way to some quest location, see something odd in the distance & boom, 4 hours later I'm back on track for that quest! How do you spend most of your time in game?

I noticed ur signature and was wondering if you wrote them before or after the first MMO was released? (UO release 1997)

Actually I was a beta tester for UO & that's what gave me the idea. I was hugely addicted to Daggerfall & would have loved to see it turn into an MMO. Took a while but I'm more than happy that it finally happened. :)

How do I spend my time?.... Well I am a questing junky most of the time but I have found that my questing in ESO is regularly interupted... Ohhhh look a treasure chest... oh look over there... plants for alchemy.... I wonder what is down this hole?..... damn that big creature looks as though he may be guarding something interesting.... wonder if I can kill it?.... Ohhh wow, another locked chest.... this goes on until I finally come across my original destination (usually by accident more than design) and complete the quest (unless I get side tracked half way through)... yes, I level slow but I am never bored:)

    We're definitely kindred spirits! Cheers!

I'd have to say for me it's the sense that no matter what I choose to do with my time, I still feel like I'm playing a TES game. Being a fan since Daggerfall, I was very skeptical and concerned that the sandbox feel and general sense of unintentional heroism would be lost in a streamlined MMO where your fate as "awesome" was predestined.

Specifically though, I would say being able to get lost in this huge world that I've seen grow over the years is the most amazing part. Just going out and exploring the nooks and crannies, gazing the vistas, and yes, even hunting the treasures make the game a truly worthwhile endeavor for me.

It has been a very satisfying experience for sure. There were lots of people who were concerned that the game wouldn't live up the the Elder Scrolls pedigree. I for one am very happy with the direction it's heading. Cheers.

I'm liking it so far mostly because it's enough like the other Elder Scrolls games to seem familiar. So I've decided it's about the journey and not the destination. Climb every mountain. It's all about the getting there.

I just love the world....trying not to troll is pretty hard though when everyone is asking about "daggerfall assassins" every 5 minutes. (im pretty sure half the US is populated by chimps but ya.) Great game and keep it challenging plz (to humans not chimps)

I'm loving the general ES feel to it all. I've been a big ES fan since Arena and ever since LOTRO closed down and got replaced by 'Auto-Attack Your Way To Mordor' I've been wanting a new MMO in a world I am engaged with.

The character system is particularly brilliant.
