Mildly baffled

Alrighty, I've been playing since the servers came back up yesterday (not constantly mind you) and I've made it to level seven, I'm rather confused on how the level progression works, is it like the original ES games where you progress in individual skills dictates your overall level? Or is your overall level based on quest progression?

Also are their permanent modifiers on weapons for attributes (strength, dex, etc..) I noticed that unlike the originals your strength doesn't get a bonus from your health stat point adds and so on. I know this is not skyrim/oblivion/morrowind online so please save the hate mail, Id just like to know what mechanic they are using so i can play a little more effectively

Thanks for your time,
Dred

from what I know. I could be wrong is leveling you get xp for quests, killing monsters and such. That ups your level as well as the abilities currently on your hot bar.

I bieleve upping your staminia will increase your damage with melee weapons and uping magicka increases damage with staves.

Other then that i'm not all that sure either.

    This might help a bit.

Basically, you only have 3 stats you raise. Health for HP, stamina for normal attack weapon damage and stamina based skills, and magicka for magicka based skills.
