Root and teleports in PvP?

Roots in PvP! How it looks? Sometimes my character roots in one place but I'm not sure what it is, maybe just a lag! :(

Plus, some of characters are constantly jumping in shadows for a few meters. It is a skill or what? They are very hard targets...

    You might not see any graphical representaion of the root.

    The jumping in shadows is a nightblade ability.

    Sorcerers also do have a teleport.

    Most melee weapons have a closer ability.
