Where is the level chooser?

According to the website you can chose to do BG's by level, 10-49 and 10-50. I am a 50 and my level 27 friend joined me but he was locked out from running with me. Nothing I see lets me select the level I want to play in. I had a level 36 pop up in a group I was in last night.
So how do we adjust the level so under 50 can run with 50's.

✭If you're level 50 you'll automatically be put into the upper bracket, and there's no way to go back (unless you create a new character, obviously). The "level 36" you saw was probably level 50, but with 36 Champion Points.0 -

✭✭You queue for battlegrounds the same way you queue for a dungeon: on your group page. Select the battlegrounds subpage and make your choices there.-
