looks to me like they brought the server up about an hour and a half ago but had all the accounts "inactive" so they could run some tests?

Not sure why, but this made me have a flashback to the 90s' download speed with 33k modems (the earliest modem speed I was able to experience and remember). This 800MB download would have taken 55 hours to download, and that's not even including the inevitable connection drop somewhere in the middle, from someone needing to use the phone, or just accidentally picking it up.
