Bank Upgrades - multiple characters

If I have multiple characters and I upgrade the bank space on one character does this make some slots invisible/unusable on the alts? To make them visible for all chars do I have to upgrade the bank on every character?

    Your bank is account wide. If you upgrade the number of slots for one character it will automatically upgrade them on your others.
    A Lawful Good Templar
    does not mean
    a Lawful Nice Templar

    The bank upgrades are account wide; thus, all see them.
