So tomorrow is May 5th and I cannot understand why there’s no event this year.

Here in America we will be celebrating France’s victory over the Germans for bombing Pearl Harbor.

It’s a very important holiday and full of celebrations. Why no event???

We celebrate 5th May here as well, since my country got liberated from Narzi occupation forces on that date. But I think reason for not making holiday event in ESO is probably because it's a specific real life historic event involving nazis, 2nd world war etc. I don't see how that would fit well into the world of Elder Scrolls.

    Because it's not a Holiday?

Americans use it as a day to destroy their liver with tequila, eat tacos, and wear sombreros.

Hell, it's not even a federal holiday in Mexico. Don't think they even really celebrate it in Mexico.

Think Americans celebrate it more than Mexicans do.. but that applies to just about every other cultural holiday that American's have appropriated.

Before anyone says anything about Mexican independence day.. that's 16th Sept.

Because we have 54 Tamrielic Holidays.
Real life and "American" holidays have no place in ESO or Tamriel. Period.
    Next Tamriel Holiday~
Second Planting - 7th Second Seed (7th May)
The celebration of Second Planting is in full glory this day. It is a holiday with traditions similar to First Planting, improvements on the first seeding symbolically to suggest improvements on the soul. The free clinics of the temples are open for the second and last time this year, offering cures for those suffering from any kind of disease or affliction. Because peace and not conflict is stressed at this time, battle injuries are healed only at full price.
    Thats why. :)

    Yup! Really..... :)
2E 555 Ayrenn, future Queen of Summurset and ruler of the Aldmeri Dominion, is born on the 5th of Second Seed to King Hidellith and Kinlady Tuinden. The date (5/5/555) is considered auspicious, and her birth is supposedly celebrated for 55 days.

On a more serious note - ESO does not have events for real world holidays, only for tamriel-ic holidays, like witches festival, new life day, etc. But many of those are of course derived from real world holidays... and a lot of them are not in the game yet, so we can hope for eventually finding small mini events for observances like "fishing day" or "dancing day" or "sun's rest" or "appreciation day" or "moon festival" or... or...

Today is Liberation Day in The Netherlands. :) Having said that, our liberation from Germany in '45 is likely not something that will be celebrated in-game. ESO doesn't do real-life events. At most their in-game counterpart, if there even is one (i.e. Nirn's version of April fools, Halloween, etc.).
