Attack speed and Restoration Staves

Does bonus attack speed (say, from the Medium Armor passive trait) make Resto staff heavy attacks "finish" faster?

I can't see it from here to read what is the exact wording, however if it truly is attack speed, then that is definitely would it would to.

The exact wording: "Increase attack speed by 5% while wearing 5 pieces of medium armor"

Yep, it won't change your attack speed while using skills I don't believe, but light/heavy attacks it definitely will.
