Housing Editor Addon possible?

Is it possible to get an addon to be used in the housing editor during placement that shows the degrees that the item has been rotated to?
Other features such as hold true to angle when moving. Currently you change angle the object moves off from the angle you had placed it. Like to see a hotkey to flip and rotate by 45 degrees at a time.
It would be really nice to have plot lines between two points but probably asking too much. Hate that weird camera snap on place object and being locked from camera zoom.
Any improvements to the housing editor for building would be nice.

Just wanted to throw this out there; I have now also added an updated "Homestead OCD" alternative into my Essential Housing Tools add-on. If you set up the key bind for "Edit Item Position," you will get a dialog window that allows you to manually see and edit an individual item's coordinates and orientation. (The add-on also lets you do a host of other things, such as group editing, copy & paste of entire groups of furniture and soon, animation as well)
