-Please delete the data.manifest file located by default here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online Internal\Live\depot\_databuild )

-From your Windows Start menu, please search and delete the following files
    zos.control.manifest

    Hey ZOS_RobertM

My friend has this problem(error 305 (protocol mismatch))

We tried searching for the files you told us to delete, however...
for some super-odd reason, he did not have Program Files (x86), so we progressed by seaching the computer itself for each file individually.

when searching for Data.Manifest, we found over 30 different, with no idea which exactly we were looking for. can this be solved by reinstalling the game?
