I normally play on PC, but for a change of location (desk to couch), I’m starting a new main on my PS4 account. I have a Nightblade on the PC, and I’m trying to decide between the following for my PS4 account. This will mainly be a Healer character. Opinions wanted!

Templars are fun. You get to jabby jab things. It's great.

Don't play a sorc, much less as healer.

Sadly, for some reason, at ZoS they decided that sorcs have to be the "below-dummie-IQ" ultra-starter class. Thus they made them more and more boring and toggle based, to the point some builds have 3 double bar abilities. A 5 (five) buttons class, that bores to tears.

Plus, if you want an healer, templar as of today is what you want to roll. Warden too, maybe.

Crap! I forgot to add Warden to the poll.

I personally love the Templar for its versatility. They can preform well as any role you desire.

I know you have a nb already but NB healers for all levels of content are very fun.

I play them all. Each class has a Magicka Tank, Healer, and Stam.

    WARDENNNNNN

Next patch it will be much more viable to use a Warden or DK healer as well. NB Healers are also going to get a buff. Sorc remains mind-numbingly boring but they work too I guess.

Really it’s more based on your preference. If you want holy magic go Templar. If you want Nature magic go Warden. If you want Earth/Flame go DK. All three *should* be great next patch. Once Summerset launches, I honestly don’t believe Templar will be the healing god among classes it has been since launch.

I recommend Warden because I think it’s the coolest.

    Go Templar.

But if you want a pet, go Warden.

I think Templar combat skills are just more fun than Warden's.

For healer, Templar is still a mainstay.

Warden is fun to heal with.

Also, in the next patch, all the other classes will be getting tweaks to make them more viable for other roles, including healing.

Ok, the popular vote is for Templar.

Is there anything I should know about healing with them? I’m used to healing with my Nightblade where I’m basically healing with a watered down dps rotation using funnel health, refreshing path, and sap essence. I just pile on extra hots with the resto staff.

I get the feeling I’m going to want to train myself away from that mindset for the Templar. What skills/rotation do you guys use?

There's no need to change from PC to Console to comfortably sit on your couch and enjoy ESO on your big TV.
Plug in a controller of your choice: Xbox360, XboxOne, PS4 or Steam controller all work perfectly fine with the game.
Stream or hardwire a HDMI cable to your TV.
That way, you will neither lose your progress nor the convenience of being able to use all the wonderful QOL Addons that only exist for PC-Users.
    Best of both worlds. :)

MagPlars are the go to healer for end game PvE and you can easily respec them as a suitable dps.

Why the hate on Sorc healers?, I prefer mine over my old Warden healer.
The lack of a burst heal really put me off the Warden, its a pain getting everyone to stand still for combat prayer, without enchanted growth doubling the problem. Having to double cast Budding Seeds as well as it being ground based just like the two prior skills I mentioned is a pain.
For me a warden healer relies too much on others being bunched up. We all know in pugs thats not always the case.

I would have voted Warden (and considered voting NB, but I think it'll be fun for you to try something new). But Templar is my next go-to healer class.

Both Warden and Templar have an entire skill line dedicated to healing, which can be combined with the resto staff skills to make a solid combo, as well as having some good sustain and AOE abilities, which are great to keep you standing and mobs at bay.

As for specifics, it's really a trial and error thing to find the build that suits your play style, especially when changing platforms. Maybe consider using the new in-game skill adviser in the beginning to get a feel for how the class works, and then build on that as you get more comfortable with it
