Lorebooks in Housing
Does anyone know how to check which lorebooks you have in your home compared to what you may purchase? For example, when I approach a Mages Guild Magister I am offered all of the condensed lorebook collections as decoration. However, I already have many lorebooks at home (Red Book of Riddles, Battle Reports, Argonian Maid, etc). I don't want to make the mistake of purchasing a collection I already have and end up with duplicates.
Is there anywhere you can tell what you already own, versus what you might purchase? I checked in the Achievements windows in my journal, but wasn't sure about what I found there.

According to UESP.NET "Upon completing the Mages Guild quest line, another collection called the Eidetic Memory is unlocked. This library lists all the remaining books, letters and notes not included in Shalidor's Library."
You should be able to access it from the game menu0 -
Earrindo✭✭✭✭✭Unfortunately the only solution is to check each house, and make a handwritten list of the collections you have.
The way I did it before realizing the same problem you're having, was to use the retrieve tab of the housing window, check a book, then go to shalidors library (not eidetic memory) and find the zone collection that has the book. If you have one book from a given zone, you have them all, so you can mark it off as purchased.
You can also differentiate as most book sets have different icons, which makes it easier to keep track of sets you've already ticked off1
