If I pick up that pointless piece of equipment in this chest I'll have to stop my adventuring and go back to town to sell/decon/bank all this trash... this is particularly bad in VVaadenfel where Vivec is the only place with a bank and crafting tables
... or I can just leave the trash in this chest and continue with my adventure.

Need a simple change :
Player opens as chest. Then, if the chest isn't empty and the player find himself/herself at more than 30 meters of said chest, all drop rates for everything in the game get à 50% penalty for 24H. Cumulative each time someone leave scraps in a chest (or worms in a flower).
People will then start to behave properly !
Realistic if player opens chest, and doesnt pick up all contents and leaves area (say 30 metres away) chest should despawn.... So its a lazy developer that everyone should be mad at

Something really needs to be done about this toxic way of playing the game leaving trash for other people wasting everyone's time I suggest that you can't loot another chest unless you previously loot everything to make the chest despawn, or till it despawns on its own.

Humans like you are what makes playing with other humans horrible sometimes.

Just wow. So human A just wants to play a computer game as he wants. And Human B insults him IRL and feels justified.....

Everything in the chest/node is useful. I deconstruct the gear for the mats, the bait i use or sell, etc. The only thing that is truly worthless is lockpicks left in thieves troves. I take them anyway and destroy them in my inventory.
With chests/nodes they think they are leaving worthless junk behind, my bank account tells a different story.

hi...multiple players told me when i complained about the use chests in zone that it does not matter the chest will disappear after a timer and it will appear full and locked and told me to try and wait near a chest(and hope its one of those with short timer) and check the story for myself. But considering i have autoloot on and i was on a chest run i did not stop to verify that. But it might be true.
