Storage Chests: Can they be shoved inside nonfunctional housing items and still be used?

I ask this question because it will mean they are actually technically skinnable by putting down, say, an undaunted chest or daedric chest and then shoving the storage box inside it. If they can't be used when these nonfunctional items are laid over them, perhaps Zenimax should work to have that changed ASAP.

Probably wouldn't work. You won't be able to click on the storage chest after you do that.
I guess we'll know in a week.

They will need to have a "Green" outline when placing in order to be interactable - like crafting stations. So you won't be able to place them hidden in another object.
