    What's TTC ?

    TTC = Time To Cry.
    The length of time it takes for a forum post to be made after a ZOS nerf.

    TTC is eons better than MM. Hell, the website is enough reason to use it over MM, plus it is far more user friendly. The only addons getting neutered are combat detection add ons. THANK GOD. It wasnt just ruining stealth play, it was ruining any build that used a charge up attack.

    Whats the difference between TTC and MM? Or do they do the same thing?

    TTC scans guild stores and reports the average LISTING PRICE of an item. You can use the website, or install a 3rd party executable to your machine and upload the pricing information you gather.

    MM returns the average SELLING PRICE of items that have sold in the guilds you are in.

    Both can give useful data, but in either case, they are both tools one can use. If you don't understand what data is being returned by the tools you're using, you probably are going to use them less effectively than someone who does.

    Just use Master Merchant instead of TTC.

    Smoother, faster, and fewer bugs. Plus you don't have to open that annoying .exe file every time you start the game.

    Master Merchant clutters your addon list with lots of subcategories "required" to work. That's a huge letdown rather than what TTC does.

    The files are what holds the data you collect. There is LITERALLY no way to hold that data without them, without an even more significant amount of dev work to take it online. Which would require people to install a 3rd party executable.

    I think they both have different extra features, but when it comes to main feature (pricing of items), then TTC is basically "multiplayer" version of MM. MM calculates average price based on sale you saw while TTC aggregates data from all the users and calculates price based on what everyone (who uses addon) saw. Then there are certain features which distinguish both addons. I personally use both, MM gives me nice summary of sales in guilds where I sell, TTC posts my items online and allows people easily find things I'm selling.

    Sort of....but not quite. Again, TTC is giving you the average LISTING PRICE, whereas MM returns the average SELLING PRICE. Useful, yes, but you really do need to understand the difference between those data sets.

    Personally, I only have MM installed on my machine, but I do visit the TTC website from time to time when I'm trying to track down something I can't find in my guild stores.

    TTC Shows you what people are currently posting items for, as well as giving you the location of hard to find items.
    TTC requires hooks into an external website and server that may not function.
    MM tracks historical sales of your entire guild, and presents it in a manner that can be reviewed and parsed.
    MM has several dependencies that create a local database.

    They are very different tools, and each has their strengths and weaknesses.
