Need your Help you amazing Crafters! House Pics too

I'm about to finally purchase my desired home.

I've looked through many of these threads and see how many of you have made amazing things.

So I need some help from you ship making, cave in cave, cave in house, war defense, tank making, hot tub owning, weight lifting equipment lifting, bathroom sitting designers

How would I make a door?

A stone wall?

A window?

What do you suggest for a floor?

Walls? (Indoors)

I have stairs book marked.

A fence?

A stable?

I'm going for a thrown room, any suggestions?

Any general advice?

I know you guys know @#$&, help me pwease! Lol

stone wall would be statue base square which is a luxary item.

caves you would use volcanic plugs available in the vivec furniture vendor here is a cave I made in the same house

fence I recommend if you don't mind the grates use clockwork city grates or wait till next patch for redguard fencing

for fishtanks you will want to use a refabricant tank and put a dreamshard in there for a water type glow and put fish and underwater fauna in there. cant show you since I hit item limit

Are you building a house from scratch? Did you burn down the existing structures?

There’s not a lot of fantastic building materials in the system, unfortunately. But yes, you can get creative. I have a tall ship at my Hundings palace built from Breton and redguard wood furniture. And at Grand Topal in the very back, waaaay up in the cliff I built the Pirate Deck, a treasure trove of wonders featuring the world famous Skyshard Tiki Bar.

Tips

If you’re building a lot, it helps to have a guild with a trader. I end up making a bunch of stuff I end up not using, and fortunately I can recoup my cost on most furnishings selling them off for 3-10k gold.

You might want a “storage unit,” ie a cheap house Where you can store materials and extra furnishings. I have...I don’t know...eight. I randomly “rediscovered” my lighting House the other day. Where the heck did this place come from? Who put all these lamps in here?? I need to write down my storage system, lol.

Creative building just requires a lot of playing with items and looking st them from different angles...and buried in other items. Like there’s an item “orcish table, block” that is pretty unremarkable. But it has a metal band at the bottom, so the underside is shiny metal, so I saw an amazing kitchen where these were lined up just right to create stainless steel ovens and refrigerators.

Some furnishings of note for building:

Breton bookcases. Cheap, square, rear can be made to look like flooring, wood paneling.

Orcish bar, block. Nice, straight boards good for flooring or perhaps walls.

Statue base. Only showed up once, so these are hard to find. Argonian tiles can be substituted...the back side looks like slate, I think.

Stable. Hmm. I’m inclined to lean orcish for this. The wood items (like the bars) look like outdoor wood, amd come in a variety of shapes you could form stalls from. Then there are orcish canopies that are huge and appropriate for covering a mount.

Ah...that’s fun. And not overly unrealistic. I think a lot of real houses here in California have seen modifications like that, lol.

I think you’re on the right track with the clockwork plating. There are wood options, but they wouldn’t match as well and they’d all require some weirdness...like walls of bookcases, which can be fine, they’re just built-in cabinetry on the inside.

The large doorway I would maybe try one of the khajiit tents in the game. Like the vacation tent might give you an entry that matches the existing house, and create a sort of foyer in the new main entrance. But it might not work...it’s a freakishly odd shaped and huge furnishing.

It will be interesting what we will get for Building Materials in the next Update. One of the new homes will be a blank slate that we can build whatever we want on. This will be in Coldharbor.

But, with out a lot of Walls and Roofs and Doors and such, not sure what we can make.

I was looking at maybe a Dominion tent or Orc tent, need to check out the Khajiit tent!

BTW it took 100 pieces to make, (used the CwC wide plate, Orc Platform, and CwC ornate thing to fill gaps)

So I'll have about 300 slots to furnish it

Thought about that! Couldn't wait, plus 2 factors about cold harbour - hate the sky/environment and it took me like 2 weeks to earn 340k. No way could I save up for a mil ish!

I'll do better picks tonight along with the inside.

Lot of awesome ideas in this thread, but I need more information on this one. Is the only fabrication tank the expensive achievement furnishing in clockwork city? I could've sworn I've seen an empty one in guild stores but I can't find it now, and my argonians could really use a nice food, err fish tank

there are several khajiit tents. There are two blue quality tents that are essentially the same, except the tarp on the top is not folded up on one of the tents. There is also a bigger purple quality tent. They are easy to find in popular guild traders

The really big paintings are super useful in my opinion - I have used them to make doors, a sleeping platform, walls, ramps. They are pretty cheap usually I can find them for about 100 gold each.

The semi-circle red guard stone bench I have used to make doorways, it looks super nice and fancy.

CWC grates do make good windows - But I have also used the argonian lattices for that, they look like window panes if placed right.

As for throne room - that is up to you.

Idk if it would fit with the rest of the styles you have, but I made stables with wood elf canopys and stretched dividers with some dreamshards and blessing stones for lighting.

If ur on xb NA we have a large housing guild that helps each other coming up with creative solutions. If ur on EU not much I can do for you but I find it a lot easier to explain things and show to players then writing it down.
