Hello! I think I sent you a request in-game, but... I am not 100 that it sent to you. Anyhue... I would be interested in joining. I play at various hours, depending on my work schedule, but often I will be on later in the evening. I have played the beta, and off and on since. I am mostly a solo player, but I would not be opposed to group activities. I used to be a raider in WoW, and really did enjoy the advancement aspect of the game.

Looking for a casual-ish guild to get involved in pledges and eventually maybe trials with. I have 5 lvl 50 characters, sitting at CP 361. Been getting pretty frustrated with the general nastiness of people who que for dungeons.

"We currently have one requirement to join the guild and that is to have discord.... Dont worry if you can't VC with us...."

Your guild sounds potentially interesting, but I'm confused by this. You say that you require members to use voice chat, but then immediately say that prospective members don't need to worry about whether they can use voice chat...?

    O I hadn't seen this requirement to join. :(

I don't have Discord, nor will I be able to, so guess that lets me out also.

Heya, vc is part of discord but more importantly, our announcements, guides, general information about the guild and its members are found within our guild server. The current ingame guild tools are quite... Limited so to speak so alot of our raid sign ups or group sign ups for events are done via discord.

Which is why we say that vc is not a requirement since you don't have to be in the voice channel but it's easier and definitely better for guild stuff to be done via discord.

Don't worry though! Join us, give it a try and see if you feel that we are what you are looking for in a guild. B)

Ah. I assumed when guild announcements said that Discord was a requirement, they meant that Discord *for voice chat* was required. I've always preferred actual forums to Discord-style "unstructured free form chat discussions that never end," and see the latter as being much more conducive to idle chatter than to actual information relay, so I wasn't expecting that guilds would be using Discord in lieu of real forums. But it's also been a few years since I was last involved in an MMO, and things change. I can adapt if need be.

Anyway, as to me and what I'm looking for....

(And I apologize in advance if you've already read this, as it's just a copy-and-paste from the "looking for guild recommendations" message I posted earlier today.)

I'm a mature (well, old, anyway, with three kids who are now adults), casual gamer, with substantially more interest in PvE than in PvP. (In other words, I don't really have much interest in PvP at all.) I'm new to ESO, but not to online gaming, as I've been gaming for 30 years, since I started back in the '80s on a Commodore 64.

What I look for in a guild is primarily just a fun group of people with whom to chat while I play. (And I mean chat via in-game text chat, as while I certainly see the advantages of voice chat when in a group or raiding, I'm honestly not likely to use it much while playing casually, and probably wouldn't join a guild that required its members to use it all the time.) As far as actual game play is concerned, I've always tended to prefer solo adventuring to grouping (though I haven't yet played ESO enough to know how practical that will be at higher levels), so I don't particularly expect much in terms of teammates or equipment from a guild. Certainly, I'm not after the sort of equipment "freebies" a lot of guilds in my experience offer new members just to try to boost their member counts. And on a similar note, I'd much prefer a small or medium-sized group that does at least a little screening of potential members to a large guild that invites anyone who asks.

I'm not trying to seem overly picky, here, but at the same time, I'd prefer not to have to "bounce" between guilds for a while before finding one that's a good fit, so I figure the better I elucidate what I'm looking for, the more likely I am to find the right guild.

As far as what I bring to the table, well, I'm a "grumpy old guy" with a love of puns and wordplay and a frequently bizarre sense of humor. The character I've finally settled on as my main is "Olwin the Unwary," a Breton sorcerer, though I'm sure I'll have more characters soon, as I've always been a bit of an altaholic.

If you think I might fit in your guild, I'm willing to give it a try. If not, no hard feelings.

    Casual - ✅
Loves puns - gonna have to work it to prove it

We do a little bit of screening as we would like to know more about your game time, exploits with the Argonians, stuff like that. What's your ingame id so we can send an invitation. I am currently out of town for the moment, will be back tomorrow so I should be able to hit you up real quick.

And to @Raiva172, don't worry about that discord, again, check us out and see if it fits, if not, no love lost. Finding your soul guild (soul mate, see what I did there eh eh.... No?) would require abit of work and we are more than happy to help you out.

I'm sure this will come as a huge shock, given my handle here on the forum, but my in-game ID is... @dburgdorf. I know. Who'd have guessed?

Not much game time to report, yet. Bought the game a week ago, and have spent far too much time so far just creating, trying and deleting various chars to decide what interests me. As I said, I've finally settled on "Olwin the Unwary" (Breton sorcerer, now level 10) as my main/crafter, though I'll also be playing "Dar'Qanar Quickpaw" (Khajiit nightblade) and "Garyn the Garrulous" (Dark Elf templar), as well, so I have a character from each starting area. (I wasn't hugely impressed at first glance with the dragon knight, and don't yet own the "Morrowind" expansion, so I can't try a warden.)

And don't worry. Though I went with lore friendly(ish) names, I'm not an RPer.
