I kinda understand why people are looking for something on top of what the base game provides. Think in-character -- you have a map of the zone you explored, and find a vague survey map. What would you do? I would put the two maps side by side, try to match signature features and then mark the survey location on the detailed, explored map. So I want put a temporary waypoint on my map, but the UI switching between map and survey via inventory/quickslot is so awkward I curse every time

✭✭✭✭✭Once I tried Map Pins, I was able to dump separate addons for bosses and skyshards and gained markers for mage guild lore books, treasure maps, survey locations and all very flexible in terms of what you show and what you don't.
