So the game is going to randomly pick one of your random runs to give you the box on? If it's not on your first random of the day how else would the game know when to give you the box?

you get a rewards box everytime you complete a random dungeon, you just don't get the full XP. I have loads of Blue Willpower rings because of this

And you can get those rewards multiple times per day. Unlike these boxes which are only supposed to be 1 per day. I fail to see how this is related to the issue at hand.

because it was announced that you would get a reward once a day for completing a random. People who completed their FIRST random before the event started and then did a random after the event started have still complied with conditions for getting a box.
Anyway its neither here nor there. Gina has said that they are looking into what they can do about it. I just don't see why people are so quick to tell others that its just tough luck for misreading the conditions when that's actually not the case

If you were on cool down for your daily random dungeon that triggers you getting an event loot box, doing more random dailies wont/shouldn't get you a loot box until your cool down is over as ZOS have stated.

The original post doesnt state its on a cooldown of any kind. Doing a random dungeon the first time each day the event is live grants you a lootbox, and the event started in the EU at 4pm. So how in all of nirn is this our fault?

Random Dungeons don't have cool downs. Only the higher XP and superior rewards. You can do as many randoms a day as you want. It was never stated that these event rewards would be linked to the FIRST random dungeon

It wasn't stated that the Cool down timer would reset on the Event starting. So that leaves the only other possible scenario that you would have to be out of cool down period, to qualify for the event loot box since the event loot box is triggered off completing your random daily dungeon that has always had a 20 hour cool down.

There was no mistake here from ZOS. Everything was stated correctly. Some players misread this information or assumed incorrectly which left them on cool down status and not being able to get the loot box on that character.

This is as simplistic as it gets. Not that it matters anyway. By the time dungeon finder has a band aid applied im sure you will be out of cool down LOL

I do not see what there is to be discussed they stated on the web page that the event starts at 3.00pm gmt. therefore anything done before that should not count, anything after should, if they are to keep changing the goalposts i'd rather they not bother with "promotions" and fix the stuff that's broken, at the end of the day the box's have no real value to either them or us its an imaginary game not real life, so to compensate for their inability to communicate by sending all those who should get a box would cost them nothing.

Your cool down will be over before the end of the first day of the event. You will be able to do a random dungeon on the last day of the event where people who run their first random dungeon after the event started won't be able to. You did not miss out on anything.
