Why is everyone so salty?
It seems like 75% of the post on here are nothing more than [snip] fests. Everyones complaning about something....lousy drop rates, lousy quest rewards, writs, crown crates, crown cost, lag, crashes, how much the devs suck, zos needs to do this, zos needs to do that, zos doesnt care about the customer, blah, blah, blah....and on and on. It never ends. You paid $50-$60, probably less, for a game that is FREE to play, that offers you literally, years of entertainment. To me, thats great value for the money. Compare that to most games that you play through once, maybe twice in a few months, never to be played again.
Play the game and enjoy it for what it is, or just quit. But please for all that is holy, STFU.

✭As a purveyor of foolishness and angst myself Im going to give an honest response. No sarcasm, no satire.
Most of those who are salty have played the game for a while. When you play for a long time, you got your enjoyment. You also begin to see redundant negative aspects of the game. Meaning they same silly crap happens patch after patch. You then begin to realize that its not the game, you or ZOS its just that your expectations are different from reality.
Some complain because they are bored and trolls, some do it for entertainment, others do it because they really think they can obtain a different outcome (which is ludicrous really).
Its nearly always the individual poster has created unrealistic expectations. You are expecting ZOS to "balance" something. Which they havent for years, and magically you think your post is going to be the epiphany moment. As if they could always have done it, just didnt realize it until you're articulate narrative illustrated to them they actually could. It doesnt work out the way you want it too, so you go the salt route. Its been happening on MMO forums for years.
Its actually pretty funny to watch, I hope it never changes. Frankly I hope it continues to get worse.

Meanwhile, if something's hindering their enjoyment of the game, or they don't like something, it's way more likely to be brought up.
The game has issues, but I still enjoy it a lot.7 -

Apparently he is happily playing another game like we all should be. This game is run by people who do not care about the wellbeing of their players and they deserve none of us. Or they do care but their cooperate overlords keep them on a tight leash. the effect is the same. I have no idea what a lvl 45 ninja is but its probably better than this garbage.
All we ever needed to learn, we can learn from Deltia. Uninstall, get swole.
Now I'm off to go work out because I know that my workout bench isn't going to lag out mid rep and my gym fixes broken equipment in less than three years. My gym membership is actually worth the money and isn't going to change it's business model to "free to work out" and then destroy the quality of the gym and make me gamble for boxes of protein shake. Every other membership, item, or service I purchase has a team behind it that cares about me as a customer. Except for this dumpster fire. This is the forum we deserve for the game that doesn't deserve any of us. Even the ones I always argue with. I love all of you guys, but you gotta take breaks once in a while between salt sessions.

Aw shucks. Fiddlesticks. Lol. Well, at least he’s saucing it up and enjoying himself. And that’s what matters. I still spend most of my hours on Disgaea 5 and Megadimension Neptunia VII, but have been easing back into ESO. This is a game that you cant take too seriously, and that you must take breaks from. Otherwise 1 of 2 things will happen. You end-up incredibly burned out, and ultimately enter a state of being jaded by any and everything you encounter in ESO. Or, you become extremely negative and toxic. You become a horribly bitter and unhappy person, and don’t even find comfort in the places that you should (regarding the community).1 -
