Using a gamepad with normal keyboard/mouse UI?

I'm looking for an addon which lets me use a gamepad in the game without enabling the gamepad UI. I'm sure the gamepad UI is great if you're playing sitting on your sofa, but the ENORMOUS TEXT is annoying when I'm sitting in front of my laptop. Especially as I need subtitles on in order to have any idea what's happening.
What I want is the facility to use the controller to move and fight while still using the keyboard for everything else. I've been doing this since February 2014 beta with Xpadder, but lately I've been having trouble with button presses not getting through to the game, and I'm thinking the built-in gamepad support might work better.
I can't find anything up-to-date on ESOUI though.
Do either of these still work with Horns of the Reach? Disable Controller UI, Advanced Disable Controller UI.
If not, given that the authors seem to have left the ESO community, is anyone able to update them?

Deheart✭✭✭Nice, leaving normal UI enabled with GamePad would allow all my inventory and crafting mods to work properly.As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.0 -

✭✭I use a Logitech G-13.
It's for mooks like me who can't type without using the KB as a visual aid.
It's programmable, and allows me to play without having to spend my time watching my KB, while still maintaining control.
It's not a 'normal' gamepad, but it lets me play using it as a left hand control so I can use a mouse, too with right hand.

✭It turns out you can assign a keyboard button to "Enable/Disable Gamepad UI". So what I'm doing currently is to use the gamepad UI for running around and fighting, and then switching back to standard UI for banking, mail, Guild management etc. (Haven't decided yet if I prefer standard or gamepad UI for crafting - I'm 50:50 on it). This is a fairly good compromise. The only problem is the huge size of the text on the gamepad UI. If I use the "reduce UI size" option, then ALL of the text on my UI gets reduced, including my text chat window and addons.
