Pointless objects that should be interactable?

I've just crafted a nightstand, and normally you can interact with these and find objects inside. So you'd think the player crafted one in the player home you'd be able to store stuff in it. But I can't, how come? So annoying...

I just wish they would make all chairs and beds interactive, crafted or bought.

CROWN CRATES: It doesn't affect gameplay, it's not mandatory, it's cosmetic only. If it helps to support the game and ZOS, I support it! Say YES to crown crates.

yeah I'm sick of seeing chairs that you can't sit in, and interactive beds would be awesome.

More interaction would be nice. I hope that's something they have a team working on as part of their ongoing support for housing in the game.

I am not sure if we'll ever get storage of any kind though as inventory management seems to be a big point ZOS likes to use for pushing ESO+ and adding housing storage could undermine that.

It would be neat if we could place the items we find in the justice system content inside draws etc. though. So when someone goes into your house and opens a draw you have have a "Kwama statue" or something inside and everyone can be like "hah neat!"

It would also make finding some of the purple justice items more rewarding as you can show them off in your house without requiring a physical model of the item to be made.

^^^So much of this! I'm sure it sounds silly but there have been more than a few times that I'm done actually playing and would log off but I got absorbed into an enjoyable conversation with guildies. If I don't really feel like doing anything I sometimes find myself running around my house pointlessly as though my character is actually living there (I'm a tabletop RPGer for over a decade ago I've spent a lot of time teaching myself to roleplaying even some of time more trivial parts of a characters life so it isn't always something I realize I'm doing) sometimes I just want to use my bed!

Or even interact with food on my tables, why can't I eat my bowl of stew, or appear to actually be reading one of the books from my shelves? I understand that with all the more major issues to be fixed this is extremely minor... but I think it would be a really nice QoL immersion feature.
