Stamina Warden Cutting Dive or Weapon Skill?

So I have been playing my stam warden for a bit and cannot decide on whether to use the Animal Companion skill Cutting Dive over dual wield Rapid Strikes or 2h Wreaking Blow.
Has anyone tested these out to find out which is better?

✭I was getting 37k with cutting and 36k with vma daggers. Maybe I was doing something wrong but I think cutting is better on sustain and allows for easier weaving of sub assualt...0 -

Does Cutting Dive not also count as a pet, so you get that health back whenever you use it? Plus the added option of not needing to be in melee range to deal damage seems nice, having an extra pet skill on your bar boosts your damage by 2% too.
I kind of like taking it over a weapon skill spammable because of this, so imo it's better to use.

@cpuScientist , Were you getting 37k on target dummy post the Frost tree passivenchange from physical to magic damage? Can you post your skills and rotation?
