Introduction
Good day, you aspiring ladies and gents of the realm! I am seeking to create a RP guild based around the nobility of Glenumbra; notably House Laurent of which I am sure you are familiar with via the game's story quests. Said guild will focus upon both the more political aspect of roleplay through the nobles, and the more combat-savvy wiles of roleplay through those under our knight-commander. However, in order to accomplish such a feat without having to devote my ENTIRE life to the guild I am looking to find 3+ active Roleplayers to be acting officers in the guild. Each and every application submitted will be greatly appreciated, and I'd like to personally thank each and every one of you who took the time to look over this post if I get the chance!
Our Goals:
1.Establish solid leadership complete with at minimum 3 Nobles of House Laurent (I included) and 1 Knight Commander.
2. Establish a further fictional backstory for House Laurent which has been agreed upon by the founding officers.
3.Once this has been established, we move on to recruiting more to our cause to increase our player headcount.
4.Once a solid player base has been established, Daggerfall Overlook will be purchased for our main roleplaying hub.
5. Once our manor is purchased and outfitted, we begin to further interact with the other roleplaying guilds out there.
What Positions are Available?
Such officers will be given In-Character positions including: Nobles of House Laurent and the Knight-of-the-Laurel Commander.
What do I Need to be an Officer?*
1. Roleplaying a house member will require you to create a Breton character (preferably with brown eyes) with a sensible name and either the surname "Laurent" or a blank surname in order to make your position in the house make RP sense. Additionally said character must have a "noble" appearance, free of facial tattoos.
2. Availability. You'll need to be a fairly active player in order to serve your role as an officer, especially on Friday nights (when events usually work the best for people).
3. The ability to organize events. Organizing a full-fledged roleplaying event can be stressful on just one person, distributing said task takes the pressure off of everyone.
4. Good English language skills. Bad grammar distracts many from roleplay and makes one look unprofessional. In an effort to save-face, an officer must use good English grammar whilst in and out of roleplay.
5. Good basic roleplaying skills. You don't have to be a veteran to roleplaying by any means to become an officer, however, you must know the basics such as being able to abstain from metagaming and powergaming.
6. Communication skills. As a leader, being able to communicate effectively with those who you lead is paramount.
7. A servant's heart. As a leader, you must realize that everyone that follows you is not a "minion", rather they are a beautiful and unique individual that is deserving of respect. Act accordingly.
8. Maturity. There's a lot to say under here, just know that you must act like a grown-up.
What's in it for Me?
You'll be given the opportunity to be a leading part of a community that potentially brings entertainment to dozens of people, the admiration of your peers, and the ability to IC'ly flaunt your nobility around like a well-preened peacock.
