Suggestion: Single Skill/Morph Resets

Hey there!

With the option to be able to reset skills and morphs is a good tool to offer, making it easier for players to swap all their skills about in favor of others or to try new builds. This choice, however, becomes increasingly annoying the more skill points you have, as the only option is you do it all, or you don't do it at all, meaning you will want to keep track of all your skills, and also pay alot more gold for all the skills that you wouldn't even want to change. This is further a problem if you are a vampire or warewolf, and choose to get cured of it, meaning you either lose those skill points or pay up the gold.

So why not offer what the Champ System does? When you pray to a shrine for a respec, you can take away skills that you choice, and unmorph the skills you want, at the same cost it is per skill, saving people will loads of skills and skills points the hassle of remembering everything, while still offering the same way to change and respec players builds. It's something small and simple, but I think would make a great difference.

What do you guys think?

(Actually, should this be in the character catagory place?)

I would love for the shrine to offer single skill and single skill line respecs, so that you end up with the following 4 options:
    1. reset all skills
    2. reset all morphs
    3. reset one skill line (Dawn's Wrath, Two Handed, Blacksmithing)
    4. reset one skill

Those would cover pretty much every use-case I can think of. I assume it's either difficult to code that, or they want the full respec to act as a gold sink--but if so, it's a pretty terrible one. It's not expensive enough to deter well-established players, while still being expensive enough to be frustrating for newer ones.

Yes, something along those lines would be great!

I'm just starting to check out different builds and was looking for a way to respec weapons and class skills, but leave the rest the way they are. Especially crafting.
I had fully leveled Heavy Armor, One Hand Shield, etc DK while going for more of a tank build, now I reset them and I'm going for a medium armor, duel wield kind of build. It's fun to be able to swap like that without having to level another toon but I agree, it would be even better and less expensive to be able to reset certain groups of skills.

Hate to break it to you, but this has been requested since launch.... 3 years later and nada.

Make enough noise, and someone will eventually come looking....hopefully.

Still, throwing down another discussion never hurt, just shows more support.

I wonder if it's possable to make an addon where you can tell it to 'save' skills, which just automatically respends the points into the saved things. I'd settle for that, but I don't know...LUA? That's what the addons use, right? Either way, I don't know how to code really.

Agree. I will pay the same amount of GOLD as it is to reset them ALL. Just let me reset them one at a time if I choose to.
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

Honestly, I would prefer the ability to just buy both morphs of each skill and choose which one I want to use. Give it the restriction that you can only use one version of that skill at a time. Done, no more need to respec but a place to put all of those extra skill points you accumulated.

Alternatively, don't restrict which morph you use. Honestly why can't I learn and use three versions of Grim Focus, did I suddenly forget how to use the original version when I got a better version? For any given build I probably don't care about two of them so it's not really an issue. Getting Poison Injection and Venom Arrow at the same time would be amazing. Though, just having to slot in Venom Arrow without a full morph respec for a ranged interrupt would be a huge boon.

I understand forcing people to make hard decision, but short of Venom Arrow/Poison Injection I don't actually get them impression there are hard decisions, and even that one is pretty moot as you obviously take the more DPS if you're serious at all about end game.

    Just my thoughts on this;
