The new class of Warden...

I am just placing my thoughts here of this new class - so it might make sense to me.. and welcome other thoughts.

So according to this:

this new class of Wardens practice Alteration and Conjuration magic.

Alteration majic is thought to have come from the Ayleids - so this might be why there are bluish colors instead of green when using some of the skills and the magic of alteration would explain winters embrace skills as well.

Conjuration magic is thought of as this:

the bear would be considered a natural creature.. though what about the shalks and cliffracers.. would they be considered daedra?

and I cannot seem to get my mind around why the summoned creatures are more biased to Morrowind too..(other than this new class coming out at the same time and maybe a reference to Almalexia ) so look for how this might be explained as well.

This is all speculation on my part...

I believe (and again speculation as I have no evidence to provide) that the Warden's magic is a magic which is bestowed upon them by some spirit(s) and deity(ies) of the natural world. In a relationship akin to the Wyrd Tree and the Wyrd Sisters of Glenumbra, Y'ffre and the Bosmer and the Hist and the argonians. Their gift of magic is a far more primal magika, bestowed upon the Warden from some beneficial ancient being(s) -whom is/are tethered to the natural world. Hence their magicka is seeimngly rustic and archaic, but pulsating with life and bearing connections between the user and the land that surrounds them.

Now, this concept solves the two questions you proposed: are the summoned animals daedra? and why the Morrowind theme?
To answer the first, the animals they beckon aren't drawn from a plane of existence beyond the summoner's understanding, but from the very enviorment their magicka originated. This would qualify that the several animals they summon are not of daedric origin.
Secondly; If the creatures summoned are anchored to where the magicka originates from -being all the critters come from Morrowind- then that would mean that whatever benefactor bestowed the magicka to the Wardens must: 1. originate from Morrowind and 2. be staionary. I would imagine then that like the Wyrd Tree, Y'ffre, the Hist, the Wardens are given their powers by ancient, powerful and sentient trees.

Thank you for this Jarnkoldur.

I really like the idea that this magic might be more primal in its nature and comes from a more ancient being (s).

There is a livestream today with two of the lore ones from ESO which I am hoping to watch to see if anything is mentioned about the new Wardens as well.

I was lead to the understanding that the wardens were like wood elf. Spinners were every thing they tell comes to being but I may be wrong

There is this essay of the Wardens:

and within it is mentioned another essay by Phrastus of Elinhir

"A Story of Blood: The Spinners take Tamriel"

which I have not been able to find...

though this is said of it in the first essay linked.

In Phrastus of Elinhir's spurious essay "A Story of Blood: The Spinners take Tamriel," he argues that the Wardens of the wilds, in his trademark imaginative style, are a militant faction of the Wood Elf priests known as the Spinners.

My understanding of the Wardens were that they could be of any race, so I am leaning more towards the first essay that Lady Cinnabar wrote, unless there are spinners that are not Bosmer.
