De-Leveled Skills on Long Time Character

When I logged in today and reset my morphs on my Stamina Nightblade because Siphoning Strikes restored Magicka instead of Stamina (wrong morph for the new skill), I found that the morph reset de-leveled several of my long time, fully leveled skills, all of which are weapon skills. Poison Arrow was completely reset down to level 1 when I used to have a fully leveled Poison Injection, and Twin Slashes was de-leveled to an un-morphable level 3.

lonewolf26✭✭✭✭✭This issue is related to the skill order changes ZoS made to weapon skills back in Homestead. They copied the morphed skill's XP to the new position, but strangely not the base skill. The side effect of this oversight was that when you respec you can't morph the skill. Bug reports on this seem to have been bit-binned, since ZoS hasn't fixed it.
The "good news" is when you make enough exp to morph the skill again, it will morph to the state it was last in prior to respec. So you'll go straight to Poison Injection level 4 if you had it maxed.Edited by lonewolf26 on 22 May 2017 20:251
