What I am noticing is that the disable Gamepad UI addon is pretty good, it allows you to play with the gamepad for movement and combat while still using the inventory and crafting menus of the keyboard UI. The issue is interactions, looting, and dialogue. Everything is still showing the keyboard buttons and you have to hit quit using the alt key or manually select each line of dialogue instead of scrolling through the options with the controller. So it isn't exactly the best of both worlds but still good for the time being.
