Depends on your definition of solo PVP.. I run solo all the time (by that I mean ungrouped).. But sometimes just going where the crossed swords are (zerg-surfing), sometimes re-taking resources (or taking them) for a bit of small-scale, sometimes just checking on keeps that *may* be attacked..
If you're just looking for uninterrupted 1v1's... Duelling probably the only way, but ofc, everyone's gonna be built for that - mostly.

✭✭✭✭I solo a lot. It really depends on what you want to do. Personally I spend most of my time taking resources. That usually leads to some good fights with gankers.
I actually had a 10 minute 1 on 1 with another DPS Magplar last night. I got him the first time in short order but he got me when he came back after at least 10 full minutes of battle. Great fight.
IC is usually pretty good too.2
