Necropotence pet build or BSW spell dmg stack build

Debating on switching to a necrosis pet build for battlegrounds but am not sure yet. Any suggestions from experienced sorcs who have run both?

They are slightly nerfing BSW and I keep hearing that pet sorcs are dominating on the PTS but I haven't seen anyone release a build with what they are running. This could be partially due to the NDA. Any thoughts?

I've been reading the pts forum. All you need to do is slot dark exchange and win.

    It's a trade off.

Necropotence builds have decent damage and strong defense until you two-shot their stupid pet and they lose 4K max Magicka.

BSW builds will no longer crutch on pirate skeleton for defense, shields will be smaller (11K or so), and they won't hit nearly as hard or as often with the lower proc chance.

Sets like spinner and war maiden will be more competitive in PVP. That's not a bad thing.

Really war maiden and spinner? I would think neither of these would be that great for sorc for a few reasons. First, the heavy armor is gonna be a thing of the past for most builds in battlegrounds do to the sustain nerfs making spinner not really that ideal. Second, the majority of sorc damage skills are shock damage and not magic, also the 400 magic damage doesn't get boosted by major sorcery. Tbh Julianos might be a good go to stacking raw spell damage.

If you run a twilight matriarch, doesn't that help with keeping the pet alive? Working the heal into rotation with hardened ward should be enough to keep it alive I would think. I'll have to do some testing

Maiden should buff curse and frags, which is enough for all dual wield sorc builds. I'm definitely going to try it out since that's what I run. Wrath won't get a damage buff, but it's an execute and doesn't really need it.

Spinner will still be plenty useful in open Cyrodiil PVP, where 90% of the people you meet will still be wearing heavy armor. I don't think the meta has changed that much to make heavy armor useless. Staff builds wouldn't be bad off using either spinner or Julianos.

Pets aren't going to get any smarter this patch. If they aren't running off lost, or bugged running into a wall, they're sitting still in the middle of someone's Destro ultimate. Good luck with them, I'd rather slot necropotence four piece, use a master destro staff, and slot bound aegis instead of a pet for the bonus Magicka. Same effect. No stupid irritating pet.

Spinner is useful the second a medium or light armor build uses an armor buff.

I've never liked necropotence: pet need a slot on both bars and provvide no big use and it's too easy to kill it and lose the 4k bonus. Spinner/Lich/monster set is good all around build and work quite well with Morrowind as well. I can give a try to Amberplasm/willpower/monster set and malestorm staff provviding I'll got the time/will to do the arena for an inferno/sharp staff.
