Lag and PS4 options

I am experiencing some significant issues with lag and want to know if there is anything I can do on console settings or otherwise to lessen it. It happens to a lot of my guildies, so I know its not just my service plan. It's gotten so bad that I am limiting my play time and thinking about switching games -- that's a step I don't want to take.
Is there anything we can do as PS4 users in terms of settings or otherwise to lessen lag? Thanks in advance. I have little faith ZOS can or will do anything about it.
