I feel like I'm going insane. I just did my usual daily run through Anvil on gold coast and then headed over to the fence. except when I interacted with the fence - I had no items to sell to him. crafting mats and couple of furniture crafting patterns were still there, but treasures? gone. completely. my gold amount didn't go up. they are nowhere to be found in my bags. I am running a bunch of addons but I've never EVER had this happen to me. please tell me its not some april's fool's prank, becasue its not funny.
dirty worthless casual.

nope. I've been stealing for a long time (pretty close to 1 mil godl from fenced goods on this character, and that given that I don't always bother to hit my max or delete white treasures in order to fence more greens and blues), I know what getting caught by a guard looks like. but even if I would have - I have clemency passive. however - i was not caught. i had no bounty. it was literally a routine run of the kind I've been doing daily for over a month now.

and to reiterate. all the stolen crafting mats as well as couple of furnishing recipes? are STILL in my inventory (had I been caught by a guard? they would be gone too). only treasures are gone.

Yes. I had this too along with the missing dazzler bug.

Now I check inventory after first theft. If stolen item is there then all is well. If not, then a reloadui seems to fix it for my next stolen item.

Commenting because this has happened to me a couple of times in the past week or so....days will go by and I'll steal and fence items just fine and then whoop! Nothing to fence after pinching a few items from npcs or worse, after a sacrament >.<
So sadly, this goes beyond April's fool...hopefully there'll be a fix for this.

Try disabling your addons and seeing if that affects it.
I've never seen this bug, but my friend and I tested a similar disappearing item bug with furnishings traded in a home that was caused by the Master Merchant addon we discovered.

Addons can do some screwy things with the game code, especially since they redid the item classifications and inventory categories, such as in gamepad mode consumables now are in a category called "slottables".

Bugs have clearly been introduced with the Jester Festival. Dazzlers disappearing randomly, laundered items disappearing, stolen items disappearing.
Disabling or deleting add-ons doesn't change anything.
Worst thing is, it doesn't happen all the time, so it's very hard to track down the cause.
Let's hope ZOS does something about it. It's frustrating.

I've never had the issue though, as well as many other people with the same.
There has to be SOME cause that is likely a difference in settings or something between my game files and yours. Could be your character data also. I'm not max inventory or bank for instance. I am only at champion 312 also. I'm not at the max character limit as I only have 7.
There are a lot of factors that could cause an issue.

All I can suggest is contact support in game with a ticket and provide as much info as possible especially even small details about the circumstances when this occurs, especially if it doesn't happen every time.

What "circumstances" ? There are no particular circumstances... we cannot write down every single detail if nothing seems relevant. Maybe it disappeared because my character was wearing a Selene hat together with a Hunding sword ?
It's ZOS' job to analyze logs. They know their code, they know what's relevant or not, and they have logs.

I know not everyone has a near-photographic memory or a tendency to always be noticing oddities like I do, but I was just suggesting any detail that seemed "out of place" to you could be key to solving the issue. Simple things such as time of day, character and level of that character when it first happened could be key. Whether you were mounted on a mount or not. If you were using keyboard UI or gamepad mode UI.

Bite my head off for making a suggestion and assuming you would have the sense to understand what I meant based on the meanings of the words I used rather than jump to hyperbole to cover the fact that you didn't understand.

I'm not "biting your head off"... don't worry... and I apologize if that's how I sounded. No pun intended. The problem is that you sound pretty much like customer support "have you tried resetting your router...?"
But it's not our job as players to make such time consuming analysis and reports. It's ZOS' job, and ZOS should act. This is a game breaking issue and it affects a lot of us.
If there was an "obvious circumstance" or even a "noticeable circumstance", we would have mentioned it already.

That sounds a lot like you would prefer them to have you wired so they can see out of your eyeballs and you lose all privacy. That's essentially what it would take to solve these problems without your assistance.
I've had people call into my work for support saying "you can see me right?" and no we couldn't because it would be illegal and technology is nowhere near making that work well enough to help anything.
This is a game breaking issue and it affects a lot of us.
Where are these lots of people? I haven't even seen zone chat mention this before the 2 threads here with a few people having it happen. You could all have something in common that works with the code to make this happen. Maybe your account data is all stored on the same memory board in the servers.

This is certainly affecting some people, but not likely very many, certainly not enough to raise a major alarm, especially if people don't report it through proper support channels.
True story: my bosses where I work do not consider an issue a multiple customer outage unless there are several customers with something in common easily triangulated for them to say "yes, this is an issue at point B between A and C". There was an issue 12/7/2016 that I started noticing half my calls per day being about that it took me reporting every customer that had the issue to management for every day of my work week to get declared a "known issue" finally on 12/27/2016, 20 days later.

I just suggested if you noticed anything odd that you may have disregarded as "normal game screw-up" that it may actually be related to the issue because "Captain Obvious" needs to have his say or "Major Oblivious"(not you) wouldn't mention it because he never does.

This has been happening to me for a couple weeks, but I noticed it in Rawl'kha after robbing the tavern. Only a couple necklaces left in inventory; none of the named green or blue items left. It's happened several times over several weeks. All that hard work! :P
