Sups guys.
So I just started playing again (PC) I've ran into with this game, and only this game. When I'm playing the target scope (? what ever you call that point of view target) keeps one moving in what ever direction was moving. If i open up a menu the curser its self does not move like when i stop moving the mouse the curser stops. Any one else ran into this issue? Any one know the fix?

any help on this would be appreciated.

Welcome to The Elder Bugs Online! From your description, I'm not sure what the situation is.

There is a key-bind to toggle between First Person mode and Third Person mode (I don't recall the default key). How the character movement UI works depends upon which mode you choose. Regardless of the mode, the "target reticule" ("crosshairs") is the mouse cursor on the primary display screen.

In First Person "shooter" mode, you always look in the direction which your character is facing. To change the direction in which you look, use the a movement key(s) to turn the character left or right. To move in that direction press the key to move forward, or to move away, press the key to move backward. The "reticule" is used only to select a target for your character to attack, and the mouse buttons are use to carry out the attack.

    In Third Person Mode:

    (a) Your character will move in the direction to which you move the "target reticule" ("crosshairs") -- regardless of the direction in which the character happens to be facing when you move the reticule with the mouse, then use a movement key to move your character.

    (b) While you move your character with the WASD (default) keys, the target reticule does not change its position, or the direction in which you are looking. The target -- if any -- which the character is attacking remains the one on which the reticule rests. If you want to look in the direction which the character is facing, move the reticule accordingly.

Third-person mode does take some time to become accustomed, especially if you haven't played a game on PC with what is, basically, a console game UI.

    In both modes:

    (c) If you open up a menu while your character is moving, then your character does not stop moving while Auto-Run is toggled to automatically move the character, and your character will move if you use one of the WASD keys. Ordinarily you want to stop moving your character before you open the UI for a feature such as the Inventory (your character's "bags").

But you might want to quickly check the Map while continuing to move, then just press the same key to close it. Or you might want to press and hold the Quickslot key to quickly select an item from the displayed wheel to use, then release the key. When you simply press the Quickslot key and release it, your character uses the currently-assigned item.

    (d) While the UI for a feature such as Inventory or the Map is displayed, the mouse cursor is shown on the UI as an arrowhead (or whatever you configured as the default with Windows). It should be usable to select an item from a list, or an option from a menu (e.g., dialog with an NPC). However, after you exit the UI, or when you move the mouse cursor away from the area where it is shown to the primary display screen, it reverts to the target reticule.

Note also: there is a key-bind to toggle between "reticule" mode and "cursor" mode. In "cursor mode" the mouse cursor becomes an arrowhead (or whatever you configured as the default with Windows). As far as I know, you cannot move your character while the mouse is in cursor mode, only use the cursor to select entries from menus, or to select options that are presented in other ways (as they are in the Crafting Station UI). To control your character, you must toggle the mode to display the target reticule.

Frankly, I don't use cursor mode very often, usually only when an add-on displays something that will remain on-screen after I have closed the UI for the feature during which the add-on displayed it. Just use cursor mode when you need the mouse cursor to serve as an ordinary mouse cursor on the primary display screen. When you use cursor mode, the reticule disappears. So, if the reticule suddenly disappears while you are playing, you probably accidentally toggled to cursor mode.

However, the reticule will also disappear in some situations where your character should not move or target anything. For example, you may be expected to listen to a conversation between two or more NPCs. In such cases, usually the action bar is dimmed, too.

This sounds like an old issue with gamepad joysticks when they are wearing out. They start to lean to one side and always pull the view in that direction.
Are you using a gamepad? The mouse runs the cursor in the game but the gamepad joystick will not, which could be why you don't see an issue.

Or, is there a keybind to turn the camera? That command could still be registering and not affect the mouse cursor in menus or otherwise and not affect other games if the bind is different or sensitivity setting is different.

No im not using a game, just a Logitech G602 mouse and G105 Keyboard. I looked through the menu to see if there was a key bind, i didn't see one, maybe tonight when i get home from work ill make a quick video and post it. maybe some one will see a setting messed up or something. Its kinda of annoying, ive stolen many an items now not meaning too... targeted a few friendlies to because of this...
