3 Years Away & I'm Back.

Wile I was away my account was hacked and then locked. I spent about a month trying to get my account recovered then I log in and update everything. Then I download the Installer_ESO.exe thinking that I'm finally gunna get to enjoy some ESO &.........NOT! The installer is broke so I spend hours looking for a fix to this. I found many different things that people said to try so I tried them all and none of them worked of course so decided to hang in there and not give up on it. So I spent the next 2 days uninstalling and reinstalling windows, drivers, updates, & basic programs which ended with the same exact result every time no matter what I did and trust me, I tried it ALL! Safe mode, before drivers, after drivers, before basic programs, after basic programs, so on and so forth, you get the picture. After all that I went back to more google searching & I ended finding this on You tube video that shows a work around that would at least get ya online. I followed it and I ended up getting logging into the game to find out that I had no gold and some of my armor was gone of course. I looked around a bit and couldnt remember a thing on how to play so I figured I would get back to it later on. Then something came to mind and I began to wonder how in the world is this game playing even though it was not even installed. That threw me for a loop and so I figured that the game couldnt possibly be working correctly even though I didnt notice anything odd for the 5 min. or so that I was on. But come to find out ESO is actually a stand alone program(game). So, I figured I would see how long this issue with the installer has been going on and when we could expect a fix. To me it just doesn't seem right to run the game like that after unzipping some file that was put in a temp directory thats way back down in the dark recesses of windows. Makes me wonder why this is still an issue and why dont they have a notice put up before you download their broken installer & letting you know about #1, and then #2 explaining how you can find the zipped file you need with the client in it to get things going? Or even better why not have the notice popup before you begin the download AND have a 2nd option to download a compressed folder that you download & unzip with all you need to get the game going instead of leaving you with a broken installer and no help or even a heads up on the issue on what to do about it? That would be at least the descent thing to do I would think anyways. It was things like this that made me leave the game in the first place and now I get back after 3 YEARS and I dont even get the game on my PC before I'm completely STOPPED DEAD in my tracks due to some issue that been around for at least 2 year now? You know guys, maybe I'm just a stuck up little spoiled brat that expects way to much from a service that I have spent money on and I'm sure I am just an idiot who dont know his head from his ars but.....I guess I'm just SOL again.

Looks like you managed to get into the game and play?

    What's the problem then?

What is this thread even about?

I actually just read that wall of text and I can't understand what it is you want from the thread.

You had issues getting the game running for three years (pretty sure the games not 3 yet unless you started in beta and didn't play after) and you're now upset the game works but you couldn't figure it out so you're not sure if you're spoiled or can't tell your butt from your head?

Yeah no I really have no idea.

In order for someone to take over your game account, they either need to play it from the same computer on the same network or they need to not only know your password to the game, but also the email address you signed up with and password to that.

So either you have a sibling/spouse/child that "hacked" it, or you have far more pressing issues than ESO.

I suggest people ignore this topic, the OP already has another one detailing the problem he has installing the game. That one at least makes sense, this one's giant wall of text comes across more as a purposeless rant.

I read it all though. I am worried for what health effects that might have in future.

I mean I am already a terrible forums poster (a poop poster as the saying goes), could I get worse?

*edit for spellings. It's normally bad but I think all the invoice sorting broke my brain today.

No wait, I think we're onto something here.

@realDonaldTrump this guy can build the wall you desire, and with words which cost less.
