Extended Ritual cleansing Retreating Maneuver intended or bug?

So, as I run away from attacking guards and/or players in PvP and cast Retreating Maneuver (mine happens to be III) and if I get hit with a snare or immobilizing effect, even though I should be immune to snares and immobilizations as per the Retreating Maneuver that I cast within 5 seconds (duration is 32 seconds) I cast my Extended Ritual (which is IV for me) and it wipes not only the immobilization or snare, but it also clears my retreating maneuver. Is this intended or a bug?

✭Any heals casted with Maneuvers up will cause it to dissipate. Since Extended Ritual has a heal, it also removes Rapids or Retreating.Old member of The Order of Mundus, Mostly Harmless, Hostile, and Genesis Elite. Avid theorycrafter. Herald to competitive stamina DPS pre 1.5. How far we've come!

Damianos✭✭✭✭That's fine, but why am I still getting snared or immobilized prior to having to casting a cleansing spell? If it is supposed to make you immune, then I shouldn't have to clean myself or others for the duration.
