Earthtear Cavern
d870f51475fbc324e482d1c43398ad17.jpg
You want privacy? What could be more private than lost and forgotten Nedic ruins in a remote corner of Craglorn’s backcountry? It even includes some Redguard touches from later occupants—but once you move in, it’s all yours to decorate in whatever cultural fashion you please!

The unfurnished Earthtear Cavern is now available for 13,000 crowns. The furnished Earthtear Cavern is available for 16,300 crowns.

I do love it, but I need to try to be frugal. When is the next Crown Sale, anyone have a guess?

Also, I think its kind of dumb they didn't offer the 4 furniture packs in a combo pack at a discount.

Well It'd be nice to buy furniture packs for houses later - like say you buy house X unfurnished it'd be nice to buy the furniture pack for that house at a later date. Or in the case of the cave there it'd be nice to just buy the furniture pack at 3300 crown.

But look at the architecture. It's much more like the nearby Anka-Ra Burial Sites
    400px-ON-place-Anka-Ra_Burial_Site.jpg
and the Yokudan Ruins in Alik'r
    400px-ON-place-HoonDing's_Watch.jpg400px-ON-place-Tu%27whacca%27s_Throne.jpg

than any of the existing Nedic structures in Craglorn, which have a much rougher, more jagged construction (particularly look at the columns and arches)

I think it an error to have held this back for so long instead of available at Housing's release. I for one had considered Earthtear jaw-droppingly beautiful and it was what excited me about housing. But now that I've invested a month+ in another home as a guild hall it holds far less appeal than when the notion of furnishing such a large empty place seemed exciting.

I'm now rather attached to the existing guild hall after personalizing it and feel far less desire to consider sinking that much money/crowns into a new place, even if it does have gorgeous vistas.
Is Uncle John's band calling you? Do you daydream about Sugar Magnolias? Is your favorite sunflower a China Cat? Tired of Truckin' alone to Terrapin Station? If so, share some Space with other hippies & deadheads in the guild Sunshine Daydream! Send a message in game (PC-NA) to Kaibeth for your invitation.

It looks amazing (first time seeing as I was away for PTS) but sadly not something I can warrants spending the Crowns on.

I think I will wait for Dunmer housing item packs and Morrowind houses.

Yeah, the cost of the packs threw me a bit. I was originally planning on getting both the kitchen one and the knick-knack one for my Sleek Creek patio, but I think I'm only getting the kitchen one, now. I'll get my food, crates, and plates from in-game.

Using the best current crown pack pricing (USD), you're getting an empty cave for $94.52 or a cave with stuff in it for $118.52. I'm sorry but this just seems a bit excessive/greedy to me.

Touches? The entire thing, both inside and out front, is Yokudan. There's not a hint of Nedic architecture anywhere in that cave.

13000 crowns? ZOS, you guys are delusional. Maybe think about getting an Employee Assistance Program. Seek help before it's to late.

That's pretty ridiculous. It's also 99% profit, because once they paid their employee to make it, they literally have no other expenses for that particular item. Even if I had a spare $100 laying around for a luxury purchase, I still wouldn't buy it because of the outrageous cost. :/
