Is there a decent Templar Tank guide out there that's currently updated? At least something to build off of and tweak to my liking as I play it...any help would be great!

Thanks all

@Deltia has some decent builds on his website. His warden build is for tank/healer template if your interested in that. I usually look to his builds as a starting point for my own and tweak stuff to my preference
"My name is Julius Decimus Heraclius, Guildmaster of the Scions of the Sun, Brigadier of the Covenant Army, loyal servant to the High King Emeric. Brother to a betrayed legion, son to a fallen empire. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next." ---Julius Decimus Heraclius (Imperial Templar)

Templar tank is flat soda. Roll a DK, Sorc or NB in that order. Most certainly a DK tank if you do not already have one.
I didn't choose tank life, tank life chose me.

Blazing shield with a few tweaks.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    5 pce hist bark
    5 spell power cure
    2 bloodspawn

Sword and shield + master's resto back bar.

s&s- Puncturing sweeps, pierce armor, breath of life, ritual of retribution, structured entropy, aggressive warhorn.

Resro- Healing springs, inner fire, breath of life, channeled focus, structured entropy, nova.

Plates teddy in vet dungeons. Adjust your stats until you are comfortable. I like having 25k health, because I'm very rarely blocking.

    Stam or Mag Temp?
PUG Life - the true test of your skill

18 characters, 17 max level, at least 1 Stam and 1 Mag of every class, 1 of every race and 1200+ CP

Tanked to Undaunted 9+ Mag and Stam of every class using Group Finder for 90+% of the Vet Dungeon runs

listen to none of these people.

Templar tanks are just about as good as DKs, but I have only 1 trial guide for one, and have never met anyone play the way I play, so i'm working on a build.

Long story short, use BoL for heals, sturdy 5hist 5 dragon with engine guardian(lots of different sets to use, this combo works best for hard hitters), use stamina only for blocking puncture and heroic slash.

Healing Templar tank is great. Makes for an easy 3 DPS sweep on most dungeons.

Quick thoughts on a magplar tank. Was thinking about wearing Thunderbug Carapace and Withered Hand sets. I know there's plenty of meta builds for tanking, but looking for input on this being viable. Just to note, not interested in PVP or Trials.

I run a Templar Heal Tank as an alt, which I initially started using a @Deltia build, then tweaked the skills and setup as time went on to my preference. I use 5 armor master, 5 footmans and 2 engine guardian/ bloodspawn for the hardest content and 5 armor master, 5 jolting arms, 2 grothdar for a bit more DPS in easier content. It's a lot of fun and makes for fast dungeon clears with 3 dps. Check out Deltiasgaming.com for a starting point. With by buffs up my resists hit approx 31k each in 5 light armor. I know you said your not interested in trials, but I've used it in normal trials with no issue, so if you decided you wanted to do trials later, that would be feasible. I'm not high enough level at CP420 to try a vet trial yet, so not sure how it would hold up in that situation.

I also like to use 2 Swarm Mothers in dungeons with instances of multiple bosses, as combined with inner Rage as a ranged taunt , it basically gives you the chains skill utilised by DK tanks. Really useful to keep priority targets centred on you.

For templar tanking. You REALLY need a healing tanking build. Deltias warden build is absolutely perfect. Just make sure you spec for a bit more stamina than going all into magick. This build will allow you to run three dps just make sure you have mag steal and some kind of dot to place to get the magick steal to work, like vamps bane. If you plan on trials, you need a different more traditional build, but consider that many top tier progression guilds wont take a templar, or will look down on you until you prove your usefulness. You can jump into pvp with out much chandge to gear and heal for pvp as well

Im a templar tank and healer hybrid at the same time, so I aggro the mobs let them beat me up and then heal the party while said beating on me is happening. I am making a guide on the build hope to have it out by next weekend.

At the moment, my templar tank is running a fairly balanced build, at 34k health, 21k stam and 21k mag.

    Sets:
5pc histbark, 5pc plague doctor, 2pc engine guardian. Reinforced on big pieces, sturdy on small.

    Skills:
Bar 1 - Power of the light, pierce armor, heroic slash, blazing shield, absorb magicka.
Bar 2 - Inner beast, ritual of retribution, breath of life, blazing spear (flex spot), restoring focus.

I call this build "The pug carrier", and it hasn't failed me yet. With the right cp allocation you have low block cost, low spell cost and high heal amount. Nice and smooth for your average pug run. Debuffing boss, doing some off healing here and there, assisting healer on burst dmg phases, and still being tanky as hell. It is pretty all round. I have tanked all vet dungeons succesfully and have also done some normal trials with it.
