Should I make a Magplar or Stamplar for PVP?

I have zero playtime with the templar but am making one tonight. My main concern is effectiveness in 1v1s and 1VXs. I have played Magicka DK, Stam DK, Stam Sorc, and Magicka Sorc. Stam Dk is def my favorite in terms of effectiveness so I am looking to have a tough templar too. Any advice is appreciated.

✭✭✭✭✭seems like you already said it - if stam DK is a lot of fun...the stam templar should be a blast also...
both of those characters seem super durable and fun to me...
the trick is balancing "tankiness" versus dealing damage...
most of my characters fight from range primarily (when possible), except those two...
good heals and good shields
