Master Writ leather boots Imperial with Imperial Edition style conversion.

The task was to craft a pair of imperial style leather boots. I crafted those boots with the correct trait and material, but converted them to imperial, because I have the Imperial Edition of ESO, and then improved them to epic. But the quest step still says to craft the boots.

There are two problems in my oppinion:
1. As for the Imperial Edition, I expected to have all advantages that come with the abillity to convert everything to imperial style.
2. Imperial style is still one of the rarest/most expensive styles in the game, but this master writ grants only 6 vouchers (compared to nirnhoned items for 50+ vouchers)

This has already been discussed many times. Do a search here, the search does work ...

Converting an item with the imperial edition makes it bound and you can't use bound items for writs.

That, and the fact that it clearly states that you need to *craft* an imperial item, not convert another item to imperial style.

Although I agree with your second point, I suppose your first point is that you have the Imperial Edition, but do not have an Imperial PC which could craft the boots with the Imperial style material (Nickel). So you crafted them with a PC which has another race, then attempted to convert them to Imperial Style with the Imperial PC. As another player has pointed out, completing the writ quest requires the PC to craft the boots with the Imperial Style.

Since I have an Imperial PC that has Mastered each of the six crafts, and has learned all nine of the traits for all of the armor pieces and for all of the weapons, this is not an issue for me. Also, one of my PCs happened to find an Imperial Style lorebook in a Chest somewhere, which very rarely occurs. I could have sold it for 1,000,000 Gold Pieces, but one of my other characters used it to learn how to craft with the Imperial Style. The same lorebook is for sale in the Crown Store for 5000 Crowns, with 5 crafting style pieces included.

I thank you for your answers.

The Problem is not, that I didn't know that bound/converted items can't be used for masterwrits, or that i didn't use the search for this problem.
The Problem is, that it was designed this way. Why should I pay extra money/crowns/gold to craft imperial, when I already payed for the Imperial Edition?

To use and imperial PC is fine, but even if this masterwrit contition were known when I decided which races my PCs should be, this would have been not valid argument.
If I chose not to play an Orc, it would be no problem now for orc style masterwrits, because orc style is easy to find and cheap to buy, but if I chose not to play an Imperial it's more of a problem with imperial style writs.

But in either case, I have have an Imperal Edition, wich allows me to convert to imperial style so I can have/make imperial style item no matter which race my PC is and I think this should also enable me to make imperial style item for writs, because it would be consistent that way, and cheaper of course.

The writs reward crafting expertise. You do not possess the necessary expertise to craft Imperial items. You couldn't sell anyone an Imperial item if they asked you for it.

IMO the Imperial edition should have included one bound motif book in addition to the ability to convert, but well, here we are.
