Hunding vs Spriggan (pvp pov)

For any number crunchers out there, or anyone that just knows

What set would you think is better overall?
My own opinion is split atm.

Spriggan has more stamina, more penetration, but is that more dmg on a target of say 18-20k armor?
Hundings has more wep dmg, more crit, obviously that applies to your healing aswell.

Im thorn, please someone settle this for me, any good feedback is apreciated.

So general conclusion from that Reddit thread: in PvE penetration > crit > raw damage.

On a stam build that has acces to Major Fracture, both Sharp weapons and Spriggan, you'll have around 15k penetration so its fully worth it if you around again a medium or heavy armor build and it offers much more damage than hundings.

FYI 5160 pen = around 12% more damage.

The only situation where Hundings is better is against a target in full light without any armor buffs or a shield user (aka Sorc).

How are you getting 12%?

Against a player, 5160 pen is 7.8% more damage... 5160 / 660

7.8% more dmg if target is taken to exactly 0 armor. 15.6% more if target has exactly 50% mitigation after other debuffs.

For most targets it's somewhere between those values (except vs shields and very low armor)

Spriggan will have full effect on any light armor user with an armor buff.
If you don´t need the extra heal or crit (not that much to begin with) go spriggan.

With how many are using heavy armor in pvp these days, guess its best to just use spriggan anyway.

with the heavy armor meta I'd say spriggans. It's also still very useful against medium armor. Now do remember, against someone with shields the 5 pc bonus is useless. However, being a spriggans user i combat this by not having any points in piercing (since I honestly do not need it) and put those 42 or so CP into shattering blows. Helps to take down shields a bit quicker and once the shields are down with spriggans and sharpened and other buffs (class, glyph, other armor specific) they go down like paper boats in a volcano. Yeah....I couldn't think of a better example there sorry lol. Hundings is still a nice set if you don't want to waste time or gold with spriggans.
