Cant run my game anymore

First PTS died when Homestead was launched and now my PC client has died after I installed Homestead on that. Telling me I am missing api-ms-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll.

I have tried everything from repair/reinstall/updating windows.

ZoS, please do something about it. I have practically been locked out of the game due to this for weeks now.

dont know the real answer but i deleted latest microsoft visual c++ from my pc control panel---now works.

Finally, I have fixed it.

This is what I did.

1. Open services.msc
2. Stop Background Intelligent Transfer Service
3. Stop Windows Update
4. Goto C:\Windows\Sysdistribution and delete everything from there.
5. This got my Windows Update working fine again, I uninstalled VC Redistributable and installed it again.
6. I had a couple of KB updates that I manually installed. I deleted the files so forgot the names :S but once I do step 1 to 4, I can install updates again, which I couldn't do previously.

And now I just logged in the game!

I think my problem was fixed after I managed to resolve my Windows Update. For some reason, it wouldn't update and would get stuck at "searching for updates," for hours on an end.

Once I managed to fix that and Windows updated, the game launched.
