Something I've been seeing a lot in PvP (X1 NA) is that Nightblades, stamina and magicka, are completely vanishing with incredible success and frequency. A magblade cloaking forever is nothing new, but this seems different. I see NB's vanishing while standing in AoEs, with DoTs applied, and they're doing this over and over again.
At first I thought it was just teleporting to their shade that I didn't see them drop, but that's not it because they will sometimes reappear 2-3 feet from where I saw them vanish.
I don't see the Cloak animation and it's happening too frequently to be invisibility pots. Another possibility might be something bugged with the Shadowstrike star in The Thief constellation.
Basically, what I'm saying is that I don't know how they're cloaking so well, so I thought I'd ask. Is there some mechanic enabling this vanishing act beyond Cloak?

✭✭✭✭✭Can't be pots unless they have no potion cooldown at all. I wouldn't think it could be cloak since I see stamblades doing it so frequently (but I guess they could have crazy mag regen somehow). Normally I see the little Cloak red puff of smoke on a cloaking NB.
They aren't permanently invisible. They can be pulled out of stealth for an instant with a soft CC or an AoE, but they instantly disappear again. DoTs are possibly being purged in Cloak but I don't know of many stamblades with the magicka pool to run purge and perma cloak.0 -

I don't know how it's done. But it turns a player completely invisible, they won't turn visible. They can interact with you, but you can't them. Had a buddy do it on accident, completely unrendered, he was still able to give me the WW bite (still kinda sad I missed out on the animation - for me my character laid down for a sec and got back up, invisible WW lol)
I've also dueled an invisible opponent. AoEs would hit, but obviously I could target so no single target abilities. I whispered if he knew how he became invisible but never got a response.
It's been popping up more and more often now, makes me think someone figured out how to duplicate it.1 -

Hmm. No I don't think this matches that description. It's more like just a really effective Cloak. A lot of people stopped running Cloak on their NB's recently (me included, but I haven't played mine in awhile) because it seemed like every strong breeze could pull them out of stealth, but now I see it everywhere.
A fight will start and suddenly they're invisible, even while standing in something like Ritual of Retribution or Hurricane. They'll pop up again and instantly go invisible again. It's very strange.

Possible. These stamblades sure do have a lot of magicka for Cloaking if that's the case. I'll have to jump back on mine and see what's what.0
