Thanks for making crafting useful again!

I wasn't too thrilled about the Homestead expansion. Housing really isn't my thing (housing in Star Wars Galaxies set the bar impossibly high for all MMO's), and a couple of nerfs to Templar skills really cheesed me off.

But the Master Crafting Writs system has made crafting useful and interesting again! I completed a Master Writ within half an hour of logging in today. Kudos, ZOS, you got something very right and I look forward to doing writs every day now!

I agree that the nuances of the master crafting system have added new variety to crafting. I'd say all is not fixed. Drop sets still way out class crafted sets. That side of the house needs work desparately.

I just wish master crafted writs weren't locked behind yet more RNG.

Agreed. I believe that crafted sets should be greater than dropped sets. But this is a great breath of life for crafting, and judging by the size of the crowds around the crafting stations and drop-off depots, a lot of players agree.

Most MMORPGs its dropped sets are best.

Only MMORPG I know of with crafted items best. Is GW2.
Lemme tell you how the crafted sets work. Think about this. You need 250 Rosins, 250 Tempor Alloys 250 Kutas, 250 Dreugh Wax, just to make 1 legendary item.

If it worked like that, believe me, you'd be wishing it was dropped sets are best sets. You only like crafted sets, because they arent too expensive or time consuming to make.

Plus, everyone would just be gathering all day and not doing content. Lets be real, this is one of the games where gathering is one of the ways to get rich pretty fast compared to doing content.

Most MMORPGs suck! Heh. But whether crafted should always be greater than dropped is a design philosophy that goes beyond the scope of my point today, which is that crafting is much much better off than it was yesterday!

We'll see how you feel when RNGesus refuses to give you any Master Writs, because without a stupid amount of luck us crafters are doing nothing but chewing up otherwise valuable materials for no real benefit.

"Instead of taking the best of the dolmens (predictable rotation), the best of the geysers (scalability based on number of players), and the best of the dragons (map location and health indicators) and adding them together to make a fun and dynamic world event scenario, they gave us....... harrowstorms." https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/6850523/#Comment_6850523

I got a Master Writ today, and completed it today. Well, yesterday, anyway...

I've been doing a dozen writs a day anyway for no real reason at all. Now there's an upside!

Sorry for being off-topic, but in PvE Magplar still provides the same DPS output as any other classes. In PvP, unkillable Magplar spamming BoL with good DPS output is still a problem.
