Best race for a Sorc that can't decide between Stamina or Magicka?

I'm currently planning to roll a Sorcerer, but I keep looking at both Stamina and Magicka builds, and realize that while I'll probably start as Stamina, the appeal of hanging back and just blasting everything may grab me, and I'll switch to Magicka.

So given that, I'm trying to decide which race would be the best "hedge my bets" race that will have some use for both builds. (And I won't "just roll two Sorcs", because I like to focus on one character at a time.)

Anyone have any thoughts on the decision? Here are mine:

Dunmer: buffs both Magicka and Stamina in one racial, but +fire and +max magicka only helps Mag builds
Imperial: +health good for both; +stam only helps Stam builds
Khajiit: Gives me +stealth, which is good for Thieves' Guild stuff, but that's it. +Crit only good for Stam build
Orc: Health and speed bonuses generally useful, but nothing really for either build
Bosmer: +disease/poison resist and +stealth; no real benefit to Mag build

Redguard/Altmer/Breton: provides no benefit to 1 of 2 builds, so discounted
Argonian: I don't play luggage

So it feels like Dunmer and Imperial are my best bet, unless I missed something.

As much as people complain about stam sorcs, the magicka version is superior in both PvE and PvP. I went with a Dunmer for mine, and I have no regrets.

Also you don't have to hang back as a Magicka sorc. I play very aggressive with mine by using streak to maintain mobility, and keep applying the pressure.

But Strider, you are a stamina boy.
    Auri-El is my lord,
    Trinimac is my shield,
    Magnus is my mind.

I think for me it's going to be less about "which is superior" and "which is more fun for my playstyle.

Stam Sorc feels like it would emulate how I like to play ES games: conjured pets, a few utility spells, and then a bow and weapons for damage. (Although the "stealth archer" isn't really a thing in ESO.)

Mag Sorc, on the other hand, just looks fun. Stronger pets than the Stam version, and it feels like it "matures" faster; i.e. - I'm not waiting 30-50 levels to use my "core skills".

At launch I played a magicka DK to level 50, so that's pretty much my only ESO experience (and that was in 2014).
    I dont see nord
Knew I forgot one. I guess after having just played through a Skyrim SE run, I'm probably a little tired of Nords. :D

Also - they kinda fall into the same category as Orcs and Bosmer: some utility for both, but no real concrete benefit to either.

Lol I have at least one of every character. The only class that I have more than two of are DKs. I bet you didn't know that fact

Altmer is best magic, Redguard is best stam, Dunmer is best if you want to go back and forth.

Those are up for debate though for example an stamsorc orc can easily have advantages in pvp because of the passive running speed increase stacked with hurricane, medium armor, and even a mundus stone along with escape tools like streak.

sOrcs are great for stam build (i think even better then redguard)
argonians are pretty tanky in both builds

but the most usefull bonuses if you will respec between magika and stamina only dunmers have.

I decided to go Dunmer. I'm sure I could min/max better if I committed to one style, but I was never much of a min/maxer. (My first ESO character was an Imperial mag DK, who I think I leveled using 2h swords despite getting zero benefit from them as a magicka user.)

    Thanks all for the input!

Dunmer might be the best race in Homestead considering in PvE inferno staves on the front bar is the way to go for the increased single target damage.
High Elf is still just as good as it always was, in my opinion more flexible between PvP and PvE.

Basically, High Elf gets 2% more damage on each element except fire where they lose 3%. They also have 1% more max magicka. So its really even. You can chose whichever you prefer in terms of looks, although they all look the same with the Dro-m'Anthra skin lol.
