Hi there,
I'm playing a magicka nightblade with around 30k hp, 40k magica, 300cp (48 pts in Hardy which is -15% physical damage), full impen gear, all purple light armor except a heavy chest piece. I was fighting in the imperial city 1v1 a stamina build, didn't even get a chance to see what it was and got hit with what appeared on my death summary screen as 2 Selene procs. One for ~8.5k and the other for ~6.5k (from the same player) . How could I possibly compete with something like that?

But he also mentions the animation cancelled bear
I keep hearing the echoes of PTS in my head...
"But it's so easy to dodge the big green bear!"
I can't remember the last time I even saw the darn thing

Which is excellent advice because magicka builds can afford to dodge 15% of melee attacks every four seconds...

To be fair, when I play caster toons I constantly jump backwards and the bear ends up missing a lot (ie you can move out of the way pretty consistently if you're already moving when it procs). But it can definitely still hit more frequently than people said it would.

Do you literally jump? Because maybe the jumping makes all the difference. I think you PvP better if you are jumping.

Yes, I literally constantly press spacebar.
Ive been hit for 8k noncrit and 12k crit, and zos thinks making proccsets not able to crit will be a good solution to the proccmeta, I laugh.

You don't have to dodge it though just move out of the way and it'll miss. My problem is when I don't see the best at all and I'm just letting there dead

Yeah moving is an issue on a magplar. We're fat, slow, and don't ever leave our house even if a bear just tore down the front door.

You're doing it wrong.
If anyone can actually see the bear, you're doing it wrong.
I hate it, but the bear can be animation cancelled, and therefore never dodged. I do believe Dawnbreaker animation cancels it and is MASSIVE burst.
I wanna see the BEAR SOB

High procs combine with 70% snare means it hits hard and often.

It procs on jabs??? That doesn't jive with the tooltip. Not that anyone should ever rely on ZoS' tooltips...

Yep, it definitely does. I had 3 bear procs on my deathcap against a stamplar.

Ya, you said that I can AC my Selene proc. This is shocking news to me, so I followed up and asked if you can cancel Valkyn Skoria's animation, which is also a delayed damage proc similar to Selene. How do you AC a damage proc?
