No. You need to use a different build in PVE and PVP. It is silly to try using the same thing in both IMO.

DW/bow in PVE, 7 medium. Gear depends on the content you're doing but a one size fits all VMA/vet dungeon build that will do fine in vtrials but not be top rung would be 5x Night Mother's Gaze (2x daggers, 3x armor), 5x Vicious Ophidian (3x jewelry, 2x armor), 2x Velidreth/Kra'gh/Stormfist, and a VMA bow.

PVP you have a ton of options. Right now IMO the overall strongest solo/small man roaming setup is 2h+SnB. Black rose or Fury 5x on body (5 heavy), Velidreth or Selene x2 (2 medium preferably), then preferably 5x Ravager (jewelry and SnB), but Viper works, with a Maelstrom 2h. Use the 2h for gap closing and execute, and use the SnB bar for puncture and reverb bash.

DW/bow is pretty good in PVP I agree, I run it a lot. However, I didn't list any runners up in my post.

I', trying to stay away from the proc viper set. Each to their own but I dunno, I don't like the idea of them. I'm pretty self-sufficient crafting-wise though. Would the Twice Born Star set be a viable choice? I've never ever used it but I'd like to try some day. I run only non-dmg proc builds and for PvP both, TBS and Briar (Jewe & Weapons) are viable but outperformed by better alternatives. Any combination of the following sets will be very potent: Legion, Trainee, Ravager, Blackrose, Veiled Heritance. On top of that use bloodspawn and you are good to go gearwise.

Go 5 heavy in PvP.

I saw a stam sorc yesterday with hurricane and grothdars with blackrose and viper using a dual weild build. It worked really well i had a hard time beating it. Even though grothdar is a magicka set it gives you two aoe auras so you are constantly pushing out damage without really doing anything.

Its great looking at these comments for SS builds after playing stam sorc for over a year.

This is one class that vet SS's cannot help people with. You have to put in the work and build around your SS's racial passives, then see if that fits your play style.

Read racial passives, im an Orc and one of my passives are increased healing recieved. Reason why i use a powered bow, and not defending.

Then read some more and more and more and theorycraft. Try, fail or succeed after you will be more confident as a SS goodluck.

Also most the SS builds thats on YT i destroy them in pvp. And pve is actually easy, remember to think outside the box, and you will be ok. @Baranthus you should just be swapping one set thats it on your body to pve.
