There are hybrids in PvP. They are called unkillable tanks.

Putting an opposing enchant on something doesn't make a hybrid
In any case it's just not really viable....yet

If you consider stamina dmg + magica utility a hybrid - every stam build is.
There are also magica dmg + stamina utility builds (most are tanks).

If by hybrid you mean stamina + magica dmg skills - i have not seen one being competetive since january 2015.

There are a few hybrid support builds that are good in group, and at least one dmg hybrid build that is good in group that I can think of... small scale/solo hybrid builds are not really currently viable afaik.

I used to be a hybrid. I had 5 medium armor and 2 light. I had all points into magicka and used bow. I cast magicka support skills, like crippling grasp and I used impale and swallow soul while shooting venomous arrows.

It used to work fine with soft caps. Later it worked, but I didn't do enough damage, but at least I could cloak unlimited.

I doubt many people play a hybrid. It's all about min-max now. But I heard they want to make health viable again. no sure what they are up to. Maybe a hard-cap on max stamina or maybe they just imbalance everything again and ruin more of the game. Only time.. and crowncrates... will tell.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

There are niche hybrid build options. The most effective way to do it is to use Pelinal's 5 piece, then stack as much weapon damage as possible to go with it because WD is easier to stack. Basically go 1x Velidreth 1x Kena 3x Agility, Maelstrom weapon, 5x Pelinal. You still need to "focus" one stat a little more, so in this case you'd go stam. Either 5 heavy 1m 1L or 5m 1h 1L. Use Prismatic enchants on your big pieces, stam enchants on small pieces. Robust Jewelry. Use tri-stat food. Dark elf race. You can expect something like 25k health, 20k mag, 30k stam.

IMO DK isn't really the class to hybrid with, though. Templar is the obvious beast for hybrid. Honor the Dead + Vigor with major mending? Radiant Destruction on a mobile stam-based build? Yeah. It's not bad.

This is the answer. If you like stalemates, I have a hybrid DK tank build that can go forever versus a NB until one of us gets a finger cramp, or another player shows up.

The hybrid addition usually comes in the form of utility rather than damage or healing. It's acquired with dual sustain rather than adding spell damage and weapon damage. For example a mDK with sword and board using reverberating bash.

Here is how you hybrid a damage build effectively. Stack as little health as possible where you can still survive. For some this will be 18k and for some it will be 40k.

    Put the rest into damage.

I think some of you are wrong there are people who claim to have hybrid stats for pvp builds and do well there is also a popular youtuber who does some hybrid characters for pvp.

what goes on in these forums and what goes down on the maps can be two different things...

if you're a stam player, with all the resource debuff poisons being used by your enemies - it's a smart idea to have a magicka backup plan...

not just for resource use (shields, heal, root); but, to also use for attacking...

similarly, if you're magicka focused - have a couple of stamina abilities (mostly from your bow or melee weapon) that you can utilize also...

amazingly enough - it's also a fun way to play (and stay standing :))...

I think it can work for a mDK if all you are doing is using tri-stat enchants. I still have 32k magicka, and get an 18k stam pool that really helps out with our severe lack of mobility. I still treat the toon as a magicka character, just with more dodge rolling and blocking capabilities. The only stam ability I use is shuffle and that's just because it's OP as ***.

Personally I use a stamina favored character templar werewolf, 5 - 1 - 1 heavy all prismatic (if you have undaunted leveled, 7 heavy if you don't) like my Vel Pel Dking. Allows strong honor the deads for self and ally healing, 30k health, 30k stam, 20 magicka. Great for tanking pve as well. Werewolf is really fun with this set up.

Ive run a pelinals build on templar, sorc and recently DK. All stam focused builds.

The sorc has the best burst and mobilty, curse to proc a frag into a crit rush then dizzy swing as the curse goes off.

templar has the best burst heal and up front damage from jabs plus RD on a stam build is just dirty lol

The dunmer DK is my favorite of all. The healing potential is through the roof. Burning embers, stone fist, flame whip, all worked with igneous shield allows for strong healing while doing damage. Plus you have rally and vigor. Healing from both resource pools comes handy in sustained fights.
