Race change loses skill points.

I have just completed a race change (using race change token).

The skill points that were allocated to racial skills (9 of them) were not refunded after the race change, and the skill points for the new race are not allocated.

I have thus lost 9 skill points.

I've opened a ticket asking for this to be corrected, or if that's not possible to:
1. Refund my race change token so that I can go back to the old race.
2. Provide a free skill point refund (normally about 15k gold) so that I can reset skill points.
3. Provide another race change token so that I can revert to the new race.

That happens when you get rid of vampirism or werewolf and you had points spent in there as well. Curing can be more expensive then one would first think.

Anywho, you didn't lose the points, but they won't be available unless you respec your skill. It sucks, yes, but it's been that way since launch. At least, for vampire/werewolf points.

I was aware of that for vamp / ww, though not for race change, though on a race change - which is something that shouldn't happen often and actually costs real money this is very bad form.

I submitted a request to support and was told that it is working as intended.

They also refused to credit me with two race change tokens so that I can swap back, reset skill points, then swap forward again.

@ZOS_GinaBruno There are no words that will not be filtered in the normal forum rules that can express the negative feelings that I have towards whoever made the decision that this is working as intended. I <as respectfully as I can be while thinking about someone's gross incompetence> request that this be considered for change in a future patch.

It should free them up if you do a skill respec now, from the way I've understood it. It sucks but it should get it done I think

Asking for confirmation if anyone can honestly advise if doing a full skill reset restores the lost 9 skill points?

Pretty pissed that this dang race change makes me spend either more crowns or more gold.
The Moro reset I tried didn't restore the lost 9 skill points

If so please tag me asap thanks

@NewBlacksmurf Some people yes, some people no. In my case it did not and there were quite a few people who reported the same thing. Apparently it's another one of those "it affects only some people but we're not sure why" bugs that is very low priority.

Ok so I'll keep going back and forth with support seeking resolution.

It can't be working as intended. Based on this reddit, you're supposed to automatically get back all skill points spent on racial passives.

Just an update for anyone thinking about doing this.

Support can't give me the 9 skill points back so my character is now forever short

To get the points back, you need to do a skill reset, race change back to what you were, do a skill reset, then race change again to what you wanted to be.
