Having a bit of trouble using the controller on PC

So I know it's technically still in 'Beta' mode, but I've been having issues lately with the controller for PC. I keep getting this issue where my character will no longer move using the control sticks. Usually it happens after a loading screen, or if I move the cursor to one of my other monitors to check something out over ther (I have a three monitor setup). I can still jump, attack, sneak, roll, and interact with stuff, all the other buttons still work, Just the move and look around movement using the analog sticks won't respond until I log out and log in. If I want, I can use the keyboard instead while in gamepad mode, and move that way, but it really kind of defeats the purpose. It seems to be happening quite frequently, and I'm seriously considering just abandoning the gamepad for a bit, which is too bad because I enjoy using it for casual play.

Also, while in gamepad mode, I have an issue logging out when not in a town. It will do that 'logging out in 10 seconds' thing, but once it hits zero, nothing happens. I'll wait around for a while, then cancel it, switch off Gamepad Mode (it's to the point I have it hotkeyed), and then log out with no problem.

With the moving around thing on controller, you wouldn't happen to have the chat box open at the time? I had the same problem but closing the chat box or hitting esc seemed to fix it.

While we are on the subject of the game pad UI, sending messages and inviting members to guilds are badly bugged, when I'm typing in messages, it will randomly exit out of the type box and go to formal controls, causing me to open menus and jump everywhere, it's very VERY ANNOYING, and players can't be found when using the username to add a member to a guild.

No, I've had that happen as well, and can usually figure that out after a minute or two. I think it has something to do with my having three monitors. Usually it happens after a loading screen, or if I did something in another monitor (switched Youtube videos or something) and tried to come back to ESO. Most of the time I have no problem, but sometimes, like I said, my movement stops working. If I switch to keyboard mode, I can move just fine, but if I switch back to gamepad, it'll still not work until I relog. Just the movement. I use the click down on the right stick for jump, and that still works, so it's not the analog sticks completely.

I've been having this issue lately too. Before seeing this thread I assumed it was my controller or usb... unplugging and plugging back in fixes it.

Ooh, didn't even think of that. That takes MUCH less time then relogging. I'll have to try that, thanks!

*EDIT Sadly, that didn't work for me. I've given up on the controller and am sticking to the keyboard and mouse for now.

The other option is to use a third-party program to enable controller support. I've been using Xpadder ever since I switched to PC from Mac. This way, you can still use the keyboard and mouse in situations where they are superior, such as the bank and Guild Trader. And you don't have to switch to the console UI.

Hmm, it could be due to the 3 monitors, try testing it with only one monitor active. Though when I switch. Windows on mine (though I only have one monitor but it's a similar process) I don't loose any controls. But again i don't have 3 monitors so that might be a likely cause.
